Workshop Sessions at the Summer Institute

Are you and your program at the top of your game? Are you simply coping with the challenges facing adult educators today or are you meeting them head on?

Our training workshops, instructive sessions, and hand-on labs help you identify proven approaches to tackling program issues, accountability demands, and technology challenges.

We begin the process on Tuesday, June 23, with hands-on lab training sessions as well as a variety of open sessions covering the topics that matter to you.

Please note that lab sessions require pre-registration and an additional fee. Open sessions do not require pre-registration and are available on a walk-in basis.

Labs and open sessions are offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Check back in mid-May for the list of workshops.  When you check in at our registration kiosk, you will receive a hard-copy program book detailing all workshops.

Implementing CASAS

Agencies that want to begin using CASAS should plan for staff to attend two of four implementation training workshops. Workshops are in module format, with each having a specific focus. To complete CASAS training requirements, follow these two simple steps:

  1. Complete Module 1, Implementation Basics
  2. Complete a second module, either

Module 2, CASAS eTests Implementation
Module 3, Paper Tests and CASAS eTests Implementation

Module 4, Interpreting Test Results and Reports, is an optional module that covers instructional planning.

If you wish to attend additional modules, we encourage you to do so.

If you have already completed Implementation Basics training and would like a CASAS “refresher,” please attend whichever workshop(s) best meets your needs.
