California Implementation of National Reporting System (NRS) Changes for 2012-13

On April 19, 2012, the CDE presented a Webinar that outlined new changes mandated by the National Reporting System (NRS) effective the start of the 2012-13 program year. This video focuses on transition to the workforce and to post-secondary education. In the first segment, Patricia Terry, CDE Adult Education Administrator, outlines current statewide initiatives and data results from PY 2011-12. The second segment (starting at 18:45) includes a discussion with representatives from three agencies that have received Promising Practice awards in the area of Transitions. The panelists describe their successful practices, discuss NRS performance, and also address how to administer core performance follow-up surveys more effectively, given the new changes to the National Reporting System (NRS) this 2012-13 program year that address student follow-up procedures needed to report core outcomes.
