  • Q: What Is the CASAS National Summer Institute?
    The Institute is a yearly event held in June that offers training sessions and workshops geared to the needs and interests of adult education professionals. Presentations focus on the latest developments in testing, accountability, standards setting, certification, program evaluation, and other topics as well as using tests and resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Q: What are the benefits of attending Summer Institute?
    This annual professional development event is for those who want to learn more about CASAS and adult education policies. Participants have a tremendous opportunity to learn more about testing, accountability requirements, program evaluation, and using CASAS in instructional programs.
  • Registration

  • Q: I have not received my confirmation. Who do I contact?
    Once you register, you should receive an email confirmation immediately. If you do not, please check your Junk folder. You can also access your confirmation/invoice through the Receipt tab on the registration website.
    If you still have trouble, contact Debbie Poggioli at dpoggioli@casas.org. Please note that if you do not receive a confirmation email, you are not registered.
  • Q: Can you provide me with an invoice?
    You can also access your confirmation/invoice through the Receipt tab on the registration website.
  • Q: What kinds of payments are accepted?
    Visa card, check, and purchase order. If you are paying by purchase order, you must email dpoggioli@casas.org a copy of your purchase order.
  • Q: May we do a group registration?
    No, each registration is tied to the attendees CASAS.org account. For those registering 20 or more, please contact casas-si@casas.org.
  • Q: How do I register on behalf of someone else?
    Because each registration is tied to the attendees CASAS.org account and will require their password, we highly recommend each attendee complete their own registration.
  • Q: What does my registration fee include?
    Your registration fee includes:
    • Training sessions, panels, and workshops
    • Keynote speaker session
    • Breakfast
    • Hosted Refreshments
    • A hosted luncheon
    • An evening social with buffet
    • Fitness classes
    • Special discount to Disneyland

Technology Labs

  • Q: What kinds of payments are accepted?
    Visa card, check, and purchase order. If you are paying by purchase order, you must email dpoggioli@casas.org a copy of your purchase order.
  • Q: I can no longer attend my technology lab session. Can I get a refund?
    No. Technology labs are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
  • May I switch my technology lab sessions?
    Yes. To switch labs, log back into the registration website. Click Edit Labs in the top toolbar. Under Change Lab, select the lab you want to switch and then select the new lab you want to attend then click Submit.
  • May I add a technology lab session to my registration after I already registered?
    Yes. To add labs, log back into the registration website. Click Technology Lab List in the top toolbar. Select Enroll next to the lab(s) you want to add, then select Review Selections at the bottom of the page. Review your selections and click Checkout to submit payment. Your new labs will be added to your registration and receipt after completing checkout.
  • I see technology labs only in registration. Are those the only sessions available throughout the Institute?
    No. Technology training labs are optional registration add-ons. There will be 100+ open sessions available at no additional cost.
  • May I switch my virtual registration to in-person registration?
    Yes. Log back into the registration website and click on “Upgrade to In-Person Registration” on the Home page.
  • May I switch my in-person registration to virtual?
    No. However, with your in-person registration you will have access to all the virtual sessions.
