On March 27, 2020, OCTAE released guidance on administration of NRS-approved tests during the COVID-19 outbreak (see the CASAS update from March 27, 2020).

CASAS has nearly completed adding a field in TOPSpro Enterprise to indicate students who were not tested because of an inability to conduct in-person testing related to the COVID-19 outbreak.

CASAS is planning to offer remote testing. We have identified some promising options and are creating guidelines that will specify the conditions, equipment, training, and procedures required to implement remote pre- and post-testing of CASAS standardized tests used in WIOA programs. The timeline to complete this work is uncertain but we are working as fast as we can to make this available to the field as soon as possible.

In the meantime, programs are not permitted to do any remote CASAS testing. A proctor must be physically present to administer all CASAS tests.
