West Michigan Works patiently overcomes the interference of background apps on computers during remote testing. One of the main challenges is testers who have programs or updates running in the background during remote testing. Now that we are aware of the issue, we include turning off other programs in our pre-posting checklist that our career coaches go through with the tester prior to scheduling a remote test. This issue does not become apparent until you try to upload CASAS eTests online. We reached out to CASAS tech support with the issue, and within 24 hours we were given a solution. Now our career coaches have added this extra and important information.
