CASAS has made great progress in researching options and deciding on appropriate procedures for remote testing for NRS-approved CASAS assessments. We have draft guidelines that specify the conditions, equipment, training, and procedures required to implement remote pre- and post-testing of CASAS standardized tests used in WIOA programs. Clinical tryouts will begin next week to fine-tune our approach to remote testing.
CASAS has added a field in TOPSpro Enterprise to indicate students who were not tested because of an inability to conduct in-person testing related to the COVID-19 outbreak. It will be released next week.
In the meantime, programs are not permitted to do any remote CASAS testing. A proctor must be physically present to administer all CASAS tests.
