High School Equivalency Tests

Performance on CASAS Reading and Math GOALS tests can be used to estimate a student’s readiness to pass the corresponding subsection of a high school equivalency test.

CASAS conducted research to compare performance on CASAS Reading GOALS and CASAS Math GOALS tests to student performance on high school equivalency tests. The two high school equivalency tests used in the study are the HiSET^® and the GED^®. 

CASAS collaborated with HiSET^® and the GED^® to administer and score the tests. A student's likelihood of passing is provided on the Individual Skills Profile Report.
