Maryland — Ana started the NEDP in January, 2013, in the Calvert County Public Schools adult education program. Ana is one of the first clients to graduate from the NEDP in the web-based system.

Maryland — NEDP is a program that opens new doors and empowers individuals to pursue their goals and dreams. Many of these students overcome obstacles to complete their NEDP program. For all of them, receiving a diploma changes their lives.

Maryland — Reco Williams is an October 2007 graduate of the Howard Community College NEDP program and was a speaker at the diploma recognition exercises. She is the mother of seven children, six daughters and one son.

Virginia — Each year the Fairfax NEDP program recognizes one of its students with the Exceptional Initiative Award. In August 2008 the recipient was Yousef Chashi.

New York — Tabatha Bush of Fine, New York, was chosen as a 2007 Outstanding NYACCE — New York Association for Continuing/Community Education Student of the Year — for overcoming great obstacles to achieve her high school diploma.
