Reading GOALS (Greater Opportunities for Adult Learning Success) uses all new test items that measure academic language and higher-order reading skills contained in the National Reporting System (NRS) Educational Functional Levels (EFLs).

The series covers a balance of life skills and employment-related content of interest to adults.

Target Population Programs that report to NRS: Use  in Adult Basic Education and Adult Secondary Education
Programs that do not report to NRS: Use in any instructional program to test reading comprehension
Timing Level A (60 minutes) Levels B, C, D (75 minutes)
Uses Progress testing in everyday life and workplace reading skills
Difficulty Level Four levels from beginning literacy (Level A) to high adult secondary (Level D)
Placement Tests CBT Locator or Form 900R Appraisal for placement into test level and form
Training Requirement CASAS Implementation Training

*Students must be allowed up to the time listed to complete the test, but most students will finish the test in less time. Students may be given additional time as an accommodation under certain circumstances.
